Trip to WALES with the X Pro1 : UK

Well finally got a clear (semi clear) day to get out and about to go explore some of my favorite places in Wales and give the X Pro 1 a good work out. The day was cold but dry (most of the time) with clear blue skies as I set off down the A55 toward the Welsh coastline. Decided to detor of to Denbigh and and over the A543 towards Pentrefoelas  and then on to Ffestiniog and  Blaenau Ffestiniog, stopping along the way to take pictures of anything interesting.

Over the Moores from Denbigh, where there was still a light covering of snow on the high ground.I stopped a few times to catch the scene.

Then I turned back toward the coast via Betws-y-Coed planning to go to Conway (Conwy) a seaside town with a large medieval castle.

The X Pro1 and 18-55mm IS lens proved itself to be a potent little combination giving the results you see here, with great color and sharpness and little if any post processing needed. The more I use this camera the more I like what it can achieve. The lens is tack sharp, even wide open, but stopped down to between 5.6 and 11 it is certainly a winner.

Had a great breakfast at CASTLE TEA GARDENS at 27 Castle Street, Conwy, friendly service from friendly people, comes HIGHLY recommended.
