For the people of Cambodia, the Water Festival and Bon Om Touk (The Pirogue Racing Festival) in Phnom Penh is the most magnificent traditional festival. For three days Phnom Penh citizens, foreign tourists and peasants from various provinces gather in the capital to celebrate the festival.
The Water Festival 2014 got off to a very slow start with very few people attending and many fewer boats than in 2010 when it was last held. Only on the last day did things seen to get busier.
