How important is having a good lens in front of your camera?
Well, it depends on what kind of photos you want to take and how much you care about the quality. A good lens can make a big difference in the sharpness, contrast, colour, and distortion of your images. It can also affect the depth of field, which is how much of the scene is in focus. A good lens can help you capture more details, more light, and more creative effects. But a good lens can also be expensive, heavy, and hard to find. Sometimes, you might have to compromise on other aspects of your camera, such as the sensor size, the zoom range, or the battery life. So, having a good lens is important, but not the only thing that matters. You also have to consider your budget, your style, and your goals as a photographer.

Don't think that buying fancy lenses will magically improve your photos. You need to work on your skills and learn how to use what you have to achieve your vision. No lens can do that for you, only your creativity and effort.
I'm not too fussy about the brand or the price of my equipment, as long as they do what I need them to do. I like to experiment with different lenses and cameras and see how they affect the quality and style of my photos. Sometimes I use old or cheap ones, sometimes I splurge on the latest models. It depends on the mood and the project. The most important thing for me is to have fun and be creative with my work.
